HANNAH BASHIR
Hi! I'm Hannah, a British-Sudanese classicist and writer of fantasy, historical, and epic fiction. My work is inspired by my love of the ancient world, especially ancient Greece and their mythology. Identity, a search of belonging, and sarcasm can often be found at the centre of my work.I hold a First Class BA (Hons) in Classical Studies and an MA with Distinction where my research explored the Greek goddess Athena as a figure of mythic allegory, gender and trauma. I’m currently developing this further for PhD study.When I’m not writing or studying, I’m usually travelling, taking too many sunset pictures, gaming, or watching 90 day fiance.
